Formally known as Barto Antler Knives for 25 years. Ben has been more known for his role as “Bone Daddy” the mascot for the Beartooth Motorcycle Rally in Red Lodge Montana. Ben started organizing and running the biker Rodeo’s for the Easy Riders Freedom Rally in Evanston Wyoming in 2002 and then was introduced to Leo Wilson founder of the Beartooth Rally. In 2004 he started helping Leo with his rodeos and put on a few rallies in Moab Utah for him. Ben asked Leo if he could bring Bone Daddy life with a costume and Leo said to go for it. Ben started out with the largest brim hat he could find, and a skull mask the first year, then the next year he added a shirt and pants airbrushed as a skeleton, and the following year he added a pair of pistols and a Done Daddy Knife. In 2007 the Billings Mt. Newspaper (Carbon County News) did a feature story on the man behind the mask and started the making of the Bone Daddy custom-built motorcycle with Ben’s version of his screaming skull Bone Daddy airbrushed on the tank and tattooed on his arm. Over the years Ben has had thousands of photos taken and still continues sign autographs for fans. His favorite are the children as they either love him or are scared to death.
Ben is also a member of the Sons of the Legion and the Legion Riders of Archie Hay Post 24 in his hometown of Rock Springs, Wyoming. He continues to be the mascot and still runs the Beartooth Iron Horse Rodeo. However over the course of years, Ben has had thousands of people asking him questions about Bone Daddy custom cycles and which hotel accommodations, and restaurants to dine at, all thinking he is the owner of the Rally. Ben and Sherry reside in Dubois, Wyoming, and just the Mascot. 2024 is going to be the 30th Anniversary of the Beartooth Rally.
